THE APICAL RESECTION


The apical resection is a surgical procedure in which the granuloma is taken out from the top of a tooth root together with some of the root tip. It is advisable that instead of granuloma in the bone defect to put a material addition to help the bone to recover and to prevent recurrences.

Apical resection is a helpful procedure as well for canal treatment that were not executed correctly. A retrograde root canals obturation with apical resection can be done.
